On Friday, January 13th there are plans to turn Washington Square Park in Philadelphia into a LGBT/Non-Binary Pride Celebration! LGBT we’ve heard off all too often, but what is “non-binary”? To the best of my understanding it’s someone who does not identify as male or female, unlike a transgender individual who thinks he or she is the opposite gender from that “assigned” them at birth. Yes, they think the doctor just randomly “assigns” a baby’s gender at birth. Apparently, it has nothing to do with the doctor’s observation of the naked baby and his or her body parts. Will there come a day when a doctor will refuse to declare a baby a boy or a girl for fear of being sued? You see as the child grows he or she may “discover” the doctor had made the wrong declaration and the child is really the opposite from what the doctor determined! You have to realize that homosexual organizations like the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest homosexual lobby group, have said little children can discover the “mismatch” as early as two years of age. Yes, two!!
As the sexual revolution has advanced to this point — yes, this is really part of that 60’s revolution — it seems that all the doors have not only been opened, but ripped off their hinges. Apparently, in today’s world you can be male or female today and the opposite tomorrow or you can be neither, if you want to be. Basically, an individual can be whomever and love whomever and don’t dare stand in their way or criticize or you will be called a “phobe” of some sort. More importantly don’t talk about sin or what the Bible says about being male or female and definitely don’t mention marriage and God’s plan for it! In the eyes of those promoting this social change that is ‘hate speech.’
The purpose of the gathering is to help those who identify as LGBT to reaffirm who they are as Donald Trump takes his oath of office next week to become the forty-fifth President of the United States. It is not being billed as a protest, but as a means to help the LGBT crowd express their pride and not fear the uncertainty of a Trump Administration.
The event is to take place in Washington Square Park. Just what is this park? It is where thousands of unknown Continental Army soldiers are buried in unmarked graves. These soldiers from George Washington’s army died from wounds and sickness during the War for Independence. The memorial itself bears a quote from President Washington’s 1794 Farewell Address, “The independence and liberty you possess are the work of joint councils and joint efforts – of common dangers, sufferings and success.” An “Eternal Flame” is lit in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Revolutionary War Soldier.
Upon these grounds a gathering is expected to take place as a show of solidarity for those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and “non-binary.” The men who are buried there did not die so sexual sin could be celebrated in the name of liberty and freedom. Sodomy was illegal in Pennsylvania as well as the other twelve colonies. The Founding Fathers and all those of that time period fully understood the detrimental effect upon a society which embraced sexual sin — any sexual sin — and we who have discarded their wisdom are suffering the consequences of ignoring their words.
