Pro-decency Group Asks the Question No One Else Will . . .

(Harrisburg) — Today the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide pro-decency organization, contacted the PA Attorney General’s office asking for the expansion of the investigation into the email porn scandal. Our question: Is this material illegal obscenity?   The AFA of PA is calling for a full investigation into whether the material being circulated among these government officials is illegal obscenity and thus a federal crime.

“People should be outraged that some of our government officials, including an elected PA Supreme Court Judge, considers the content of these lewd photos and videos appropriate. Some have resigned and Judge Seamus McCaffery has been suspended with pay, but that is not enough. Sexual exploitation has taken place in the production of these photos and videos and further steps must be taken to protect the vulnerable,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

Begin email sent to PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane:

Of the many articles I have read about the sexually explicit photos and videos sent via email to and from government officials, including recently suspended PA Supreme Court Justice Seamus McCaffery, very few have given much detail about the content of those emails. One philly.com article dated October 3 did give some indication of the total perversion of the videos that you have shown the media:

* One shows a man dressed as a race-car driver shaking a bottle of champagne, uncorking it and then inserting the spouting mouth of the bottle into a woman’s vagina as a group of people cheers him on. The driver then quaffs some of the bubbly (and not from the bottle).

* Another video, dubbed “safe sex,” shows a skinny man attempting sex with a morbidly obese woman’s stomach.

* Three more videos show a woman performing oral sex while speaking on the phone, a woman masturbating with a tub faucet, and busty women in wet shirts using their breasts to wash a car.

This investigation should be expanded beyond simply finding out the individuals involved, but should include an obscenity investigation. It is against federal law to send obscene material via email. I urge you to take drastic steps to stop this sexual exploitation of women, which apparently in the eyes of some of our government officials is okay.

“To think these lewd emails were uncovered during a review of how the Jerry Sandusky investigation was handled is outrageous. Sandusky sexually exploited young boys and women were sexually exploited in the production of these photos and videos, yet know one is saying anything! This must stop and a full investigation needs to take place,” Gramley continued.
