The city of Carlisle wants to hold its annual car show, but Cumberland County, although in the ‘green phase’ of Governor Wolf’s color-coded reopening scheme, is limited to crowd sizes of 250. PA Health Secretary “Rachel” Levine is suing to have the show, which is largely held outside, stopped, calling it dangerous.

Today a majority of the US Supreme Court proved once again they do not know their proper role of interpreting law and have instead acted as lawmakers. A 6-3 majority changed the meaning of the word “sex” in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity.’ The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocacy group, condemns this judicial activism and questions why we fought so hard for Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation, one of the six judicial activists.

Governor Wolf has extended the COVID-19 emergency declaration for another 90 days, but the legislature has just passed a resolution which requires Wolf to rescind the declaration. Governor Wolf says he will “disapprove” the resolution and he will not remove the emergency declaration. The GOP-controlled legislature has threatened to take the issue to court, so . . . are we or aren’t we open? Depends on who you ask! Let your legislators know your thoughts on this vote to reopen all of PA.
