Action Alert – Convention of States Bill is a Bad Idea!

The House State Government Committee is scheduled to vote on House Resolution 206 possibly as early as TODAY! It is “A Concurrent Resolution petitioning the Congress of the United States to call a Convention for proposing amendments pursuant to Article V of the Constitution of the United States limited to proposing amendments that impose fiscal restraints on the Federal Government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the Federal Government and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress.”

The Bill of Rights is another year old today! It has been 228 years since it was ratified by the states. Virginia was the last one to ratify them. These important first ten amendments to the Constitution should be memorized by every American!

The confirmation vote on Patrick Bumatay for the Ninth Circuit is scheduled for sometime December 10th. He has never been a judge, so there’s no paper trail to follow to find out exactly where he stands on interpreting the US Constitution. He says he’s an originalist, but is he??
