The confirmation vote on Amy Coney Barrett will take place the first part of the week, probably on Monday. Democrats have called her nomination illegitimate and described her conservative views as extreme. They have pulled out every tactic at their disposal to stall the process. The Democrats have increasingly used the judicial branch to push their liberal agenda because they cannot get it through the legislature. They see the confirmation of Judge Barrett as bringing an end to the power they have welded through the US Supreme Court’s liberal justices.
