How radical is Pamela Ann Harris? Here are a few examples:

1.) Harris’ activist arguments have twice been rejected unanimously by the US Supreme Court.
2.) Harris views judicial decisions as political games where a judge’s vote in one case creates “political capital” for a contradictory vote in another case.
3.) Harris is a self-described “profound liberal” who thinks judges should “reconstitute” and “change” the meaning of the Constitution.

Blog: PA Next in Line for Illegal Immigrant Children

Pennsylvania has been thrust into the madness of thousands of illegal immigrant children crossing the border unaccompanied. The state Department of Public Welfare confirmed yesterday that federal officials told them 120 children are in two temporary centers, KidsPeace in Bethlehem and the Bethany Children’s Home outside of Reading in Berks County. The other 386 youngsters are staying with “sponsors” including relatives and religious groups, said spokeswoman Kait Gillis. More are expected to follow.

Blog: A Plan Too Good to be True

The number of minor children crossing or attempting to cross the U.S. southern border unaccompanied by a parent or other adult relative has exploded from 6,560 in 2011 to an estimated 60,000 for fiscal year 2014. Border patrol agents in South Texas reported over 1,000 such children were apprehended by officials earlier this month, including a 3-year-old boy from Honduras.

Blog: Court Packing Works Out Well for Obama

Today a three judge panel of the DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that subsidies to assist individuals in purchasing healthcare, if they qualify based on their income, are only intended to be dispersed to individuals who purchase a plan on an exchange that was created by their state. However, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals also ruled today that the subsidies were intended for individuals on a state or federally created exchange. Same issue – two different rulings could place this on the docket of the US Supreme Court next term or it could be heard before the entire DC Circuit Court where the decision would probably be the exact opposite of that handed down today by that court’s panel. Why? It’s called court packing.
