Action Alert – Support Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson

Yesterday the January 2014 edition of GQ magazine was available online and the story that got everyone’s attention was the interview with Phil Robertson, the patriarch in the A&E reality TV show Duck Dynasty. Here’s the story (WARNING: the writer of the story uses some vulgar language). The writer, Drew Magary, notes: “The show is merely the platform. The end goal is to save souls.”

Phil Robertson comments, “Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong,” he says. “Sin becomes fine.”

News Release – New Child Sexual Abuse Laws May be Undermined

Today Governor Tom Corbett signed long-awaited changes to Pennsylvania’s child abuse laws. These bills were passed in response to the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse case. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) is pleased that the Governor has now signed these into law, but is concerned that two other bills that have been introduced in the House and Senate will undermine aspects of these new laws.

Action Alert: Tell Governor Corbett He is Wrong

Governor Tom Corbett has announced his support of HB/SB 300 – the bills that would add “sexual orientation, gender identity or expression” to the PA Human Relations Act. Governor Corbett apparently does not see the danger of passing such laws, nor the harm done to those with deeply held religious beliefs that homosexuality is wrong.

A vote yesterday to confirm Patricia Millett to the DC Circuit has already swayed that court to the left. However, President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are not satisfied with just a one vote majority for the left, they want two more radical nominees to be confirmed by week’s end!!
