After decades of trying to reason with a tyrannical King George III, the Founding Fathers finally came to the conclusion that there was no reasoning with him. They gathered in Philadelphia, vigorously debated whether to declare our independence and face the wrath the world’s superpower. They voted for independence, signed the Declaration of Independence which listed their grievances against the British Crown and the rest is history – with God’s miraculous intervention we became a free nation. That was Philadelphia in 1776. What is today’s Philadelphia like? Would such a gathering of freedom seekers even be allowed to meet within the city?
