Today is the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. What is the sanctity of life? It’s the concept that life is sacred, holy and precious. Is this something many, perhaps most, Americans believe in this post-Christian era? Probably not.
Roe v Wade was declared unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court in June of last year, thus throwing the decision back to the states. Constitutionally this is where it should have been anyway the entire time.
Some liberal states have made abortion a constitutional “right”. Currently, here in PA, Democrats are circulating a co-sponsorship memo in the State House to do the same! With Republicans still in control of the State Senate, such a bill will not likely pass this session. But what about future legislative sessions?
The life of an unborn baby is worth fighting to save. School students are being inundated with the message that sex before marriage is not only okay, but expected! If the girl gets pregnant, Planned Parenthood’s message is ‘no problem, you can always get an abortion.’ If the girl’s parents or boyfriend don’t take her to the abortion clinic, she can always order the abortion pill online.
Over 50 percent of abortions in the US are by the girl/woman taking the abortion pill! States may pass laws banning or restricting abortion, but, according to the US Department of Justice, the USPS can still deliver abortion through the mail! Did you know the Comstock Act of 1873 — 18 U.S.C. §1461 — made it illegal to send “obscene, lewd or lascivious,” “immoral,” or “indecent” publications through the mail? The breadth of the legislation included the prohibition of writings or instruments pertaining to contraception and abortion, even if written by a physician.
Planned Parenthood founder and racist Margaret Sanger lobbied for overturning the act’s birth control provisions, which the courts did in United States v. One Package (2d Cir. 1936).
One week after the US Supreme Court’s decision in the Dobbs case last June, the Postal Service asked for advice from the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (DOJ) about whether §1461 prohibits mailing the abortion drugs mifepristone or misoprostol. Two days before Christmas the DOJ issued their interpretation of the Comstock Act as it related to mailing the abortion pills stating that the law’ “does not prohibit the mailing, or the delivery or receipt by mail, of mifepristone or misoprostol where the sender lacks the intent that the recipient of the drugs will use them unlawfully.” What! The DOJ just rewrote the Comstock Act!
The Food and Drug Administration itself says that these drugs “are approved … to end an intrauterine pregnancy through [10] weeks gestation.” That is the only purpose for which the drugs may be marketed. Thus, the Comstock Act SHOULD prohibit the mailing of the abortion pill!
And now, the FDA has decided to give the green light to retail pharmacies to offer the drug in the US for the first time! CVS and Walgreens have already indicated they will probably begin offering the baby killing pills.
Even with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the womb is still a dangerous place for babies. An administration that is determined to kill babies in the womb will go to great lengths to see that happen. How many generations of Americans have been taught that abortion is okay? How many generations of Americans think ‘her body, her choice’? How many lies have been told since January 1973, when the US Supreme Court legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy? Sixty-three million babies died because of the erroneous decision. How many more will die as man thinks of new ways to destroy future generations in the womb?

Genesis 2:7 – Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Psalm 127: 3-4 — Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.
Psalm 139:13-16 — For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Have we become a nation described in the following Scripture verses?
Leviticus 18:21 — You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.
Psalm 106:38 — . . . The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of
Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood.
Jeremiah 19:5 — and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind.
