NBA Carries Out Threat Against Hostage North Carolina

(Harrisburg) —  The NBA has held North Carolina hostage since shortly after that state passed a  commonsense safety  and privacy law requiring biological men to use the men’s bathroom and vice versa threatening to move the 2017 All-Star Games from the city of Charlotte.  The NBA announced yesterday it would punish the state by pulling those games.  The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide group advocating for privacy and safety, has reached out to North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory and leadership within the State House and State Senate thanking them for their stand to protect women and children from the potential threat of sexual predators.   The AFA of PA has also contacted Adam Silver, Commissioner of the NBA, blasting him for his attempt to undermine a duly passed law.

“In reality the city of Charlotte started this whole mess by overstepping its constitutional authority and passing an ordinance which forced all businesses within the city to open its bathrooms and other public accommodations to the opposite sex.  The North Carolina Constitution does not allow municipalities to enact laws over and above what state law is and the legislature had to step in and address Charlotte’s unconstitutional actions.   Since the North Carolina legislature did its job, the state has been under assault by the NBA, liberal entertainers and corporations that refuse to read what the law actually says,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest homosexual lobby organization, has openly orchestrated these efforts.  Within days of Governor McCrory signing HB 2, HRC, Equality North Carolina and 80 corporate heads sent a joint letter to the Governor decrying the so-called discriminatory law.

“Adam Silver nor the NBA have the legal right to become lawmakers.  Corporations and sports leagues have become bolder in their advocacy for liberal causes and in efforts to remake the social construct of America.  In so doing they are threatening to punish states that do not bow to their will.  These companies and organizations have become too powerful when they feel they can hold states hostage and blackmail them.  They are, in fact, attempting to replace the duly elected legislative bodies of those states.   Freedom-loving Americans need to wake up to this growing threat or our country will be run by liberal corporations and not our elected lawmakers,” concluded Gramley.
