State College School District Just Okays Extra Terrestrials and Cross Dressers for Teachers
(Harrisburg) — Tonight by a 6-2 vote the State College Area School board approved changes in their anti-discrimination policies for students and the district hiring practices to include ‘sexual orientation and gender identity.’ This move follows on the heels of the district offering same-sex domestic partner benefits to its homosexual employees. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide traditional values and child advocacy group, is appalled that the board takes their responsibility of providing for the safety of their students so lightly.
“School Board Policies 103 and 104 are simply efforts by the board to promote and normalize the homosexual lifestyle. The clear message the board is sending is ‘gay is okay’ and if you don’t agree you will be labeled a bigot. Simply this is not about discrimination, it is about indoctrination,” noted Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
Michael Hardy, the Assistant Superintendent and current acting superintendent, responded during the July 11th board meeting debate about the proposed changes that he was okay with a man dressed as a woman being hired as a first grade teacher. He responded that to him a district anti-discrimination policy should mean absolutely no discrimination within the district — not even discrimination against extra terrestrials!
“It is quite evident the school board voted on policy changes they do not fully understand. Good questions were raised on the 11th about men in women’s dresses teaching first graders and formerly male coaches who go through ‘sex change’ operations who want to now enter the girls’ locker room. One question not raised was how comfortable female teachers will feel sharing the bathroom with that first grade teacher who’s really a man dressed as a woman. What about the male student who believes he is a female? This policy change means the district must permit him to use the girls’ restroom,” Gramley noted.
State College Area School District and others which pass such radical policies are opening a Pandora’s Box of dangers to children. The board’s action tonight should give parents pause as their children face another school year in the district. Parents should strongly consider withdrawing their children and either homeschooling them or sending them to a private school.
