Targeting Religious Freedom  — That is the Goal of Homosexual Activists

(Harrisburg) —  On Memorial Day the Apostolic Holiness Church in Connellsville had unexpected visitors for their evening service.  Homosexual activists picketed the church because of the “offensive” language on their outdoor sign.     The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), fully supports the language the church posted, even though it was considered ‘hateful’ and ‘discriminatory’ by the demonstrators.  In a show of support the AFA of PA has sent a letter to Pastor Terry Upton.

“Increasingly we see homosexual activists demanding that churches conform to their agenda and churches such as Apostolic Holiness Church, which publicly said marriage between a man and a woman is ‘God’s Way,’ are targeted for hateful attacks.  Homosexual activists do not just want ‘equal rights;’ they want special rights,” noted Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

The letter to the church thanked Pastor Upton for his stand for God’s definition of marriage laid out in the Book of Genesis, chapter 2.  Homosexual activists who say Jesus never said anything about homosexuality, have failed to read from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 19 where He gives the definition of marriage by quoting Genesis 2.   There is no doubt how Jesus defined marriage.

“Homosexuals want to force the church to accept their lifestyle and their definition of marriage as normal.  Bible-believing churches need to do just that — believe the Bible and not be swayed by demonstrators or hateful attacks upon them.   Homosexual activists want to remold America and the church in their image and are willing to attack anyone who stands in their way.  We commend Pastor Upton for taking a stand for traditional marriage and encourage him to continue taking a stand for God’s Way,” Gramley further stated.
