Activists Working to Get APA to Remove Pedophilia as a Mental Disorder
(Harrisburg) — Following the example of homosexual activists in the ’60’s and ’70’s, pedophile activists are meeting in Baltimore today to place pressure on the American Psychological Association (APA) to remove pedophilia as a mental disorder from their upcoming revised Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) 5. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide pro-family group, has warned municipalities which have considered adding ‘sexual orientation’ to their anti-discrimination ordinances of the danger of opening this Pandora’s Box into the unknown. Today the AFA of PA will warn those which are currently considering this type ordinance — be prepared to add pedophilia to the definition of ‘sexual orientation.’
“Today’s conference in Baltimore simply confirms what we’ve been telling municipalities for several years now — if you add sexual orientation to your ordinances, expect a group to come along to put pressure on you to include their ‘sexual orientation.’ We already know that the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom wants to add sadomasochism and now the pedophiles want their sexual orientation added too,” remarked Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
These activists have already taken the step of changing the name of their mental disorder from ‘pedophilia’ to ‘minor-attracted people’ even as homosexuality is now gay or lesbian. Their website also talks about the ‘stigma’ leveled against pedophiles because of its negative listing in the DSM. The activists also oppose any therapy to help them overcome their sexual attraction to children saying they are born that way. These same steps were taken by homosexual activists in their quest to have their sexual orientation normalized.
“Children are currently under assault by homosexual activists as they infiltrate the schools with their ‘gay is okay’ message; now pedophiles want to be given a green light by the psychological community to have their way with children. Municipalities need to wake up to what is really happening and not play this politically correct game by adding ‘sexual orientation’ to ordinances. It will lead to more than they think they are bargaining for,” Gramley concluded.
The AFA of PA will also contact those which have recently passed a sexual orientation ordinance — Doylestown, Lower Merion, Conshohocken Borough, Haverford Township and the City of Bethlehem. These municipalities have opened Pandora’s Box and now must answer to their constituents for the misstep they have taken.
