What will Selinsgrove Area School District Decide About Bathrooms? Is Warrior Run Next?
This alert is being sent to our supporters in both Snyder and Northumberland counties.
Did you know that just last week Texas federal Judge Reed O’Connor refused to lift his nationwide injunction stopping the implementation of the Obama Administration’s radical transgender bathroom and shower room edict? However, too many schools think they will lose federal dollars if they don’t allow sexually confused students to use the bathroom and shower room of their choice!
Warrior Run School District Superintendent Alan Hack said the administration is “waiting for guidance from the Pennsylvania School Boards Association” before taking any action.
At the beginning of this school year, Selinsgrove Area School District formally announce transgender students will be allowed to use the restroom or locker room that “matches their gender identity” meaning boys who think they are girls can use the girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms and vice versa. At this point, they have not passed an actual transgender policy.
The website of the Selinsgrove Area School District notes that they will be holding a community forum on Title IX and transgender students. It will be held in the middle school auditorium tonight, Wednesday, November 30th at 7:00 p.m. A “brief overview of the issue will be presented followed by an opportunity for public comment.” It does not specify who will be making the presentation! In Bucks County such a presentation was made by a LGBT activist from Harrisburg. It should also be noted that TransCentralPA has taken an interest in this situation and they are located in nearby Harrisburg. The administration will also accept written comment at that time.
The school boards of both these school districts need to understand that the language of Title IX has NOT changed. The Obama Administration is simply reinterpreting the word “sex” in Title IX to include transgenders. This is an illegal edict — only Congress can change the law, not the President nor any member of his administration. In fact the end of July even the feds acknowledged the May 13th “Dear Colleague” letters to the schools was not legally binding!! School boards need to hear that too!
On October 20th the AFA of PA contacted Selinsgrove Superintendent Cohrs and all the school board members advising them of all the above, but they need to hear from taxpayers and parents in that district!
1.) Taxpayers and parents in Warrior Run School District need to contact the district and demand that they not change policies to allow boys who think they are girls into the girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms. Superintendent Alan Hack can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 570-649-5138 Ext 5000. Contact information for the school board can be found here
2.) If at all possible, taxpayers and parents in Selinsgrove Area School District need to attend the forum tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the middle school auditorium. Those advocating for this lunacy will probably be out in force. In the meantime, contact Superintendent Chad Cohrs at email@example.com or 570-372-2201. Contact information for the school board can be found here
Let these superintendents and school boards know it is not appropriate or acceptable to allow sexually confused individuals to use the bathroom or shower room of their choice. To protect the privacy of all, it is appropriate for schools to provide facilities for these students such as the restroom in the nurse’s office or a unisex bathroom.
Here is a Sample Student Privacy Resolution all school boards need to pass.
