News Release – Inne at the Abingtons Wins in Lawsuit

In July the Inne at the Abingtons did not permit the booking of a same-sex so-called wedding at their facility citing the owners religious beliefs as the reason. A social media firestorm ensued, leading to one heterosexual couple cancelling their event and demanding a refund of the non-refundable deposit and further demanding three times that amount for ‘damages.’ The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for religious liberty, asserted at the time that the resulting lawsuit was the true reason for the push for passage of SB and HB 300, which would add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the PA Human Relations Act.

PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane recently signed onto an amicus brief saying the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals was correct in overturning Utah’s Marriage Protection Amendment, arguing the Supreme Court should make that standard apply across the country. This brief was signed by attorneys general representing some of the most liberal states in the nation: Massachusetts, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Vermont and Washington State. By her signature Kathleen Kane is saying the majority of Pennsylvanians are okay with the legalization of so-called same-sex marriage. She is wrong and the silent majority needs to speak up and let her know!

AFA of PA Action Alert – Comcast Time Warner Merger is Bad Idea

If the Comcast/Time Warner merger is completed, they will control what is viewed on more than half of the televisions in the nation. Congress has directed FCC to review merger transactions under the Communications Act and to determine whether the proposed transaction would serve “the public interest, convenience, and necessity.” The FCC decision will impact every consumer of entertainment, news, sports and educational programming as well as every subscriber to high speed internet. This issue does not just pertain to subscribers of Comcast and Time Warner. In the last 30 days over 43,000 comments have been left on the FCC website concerning the proposed merger of Comcast and Time Warner – most in opposition to such a merger. News Release – Kathleen Kane Wrong in Signing Amicus Brief

Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Kathleen Kane has expanded her activism in promoting the legalization of same-sex marriage. She has joined other liberal attorneys general in signing an amicus brief asking the United States Supreme Court to legalize so-called same-sex marriage nationwide. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for natural marriage, has contacted Attorney General Kane’s office expressing outrage over her misguided efforts in pushing the legalization of counterfeit marriage.

Action Alert – Trying to Push God Out of PA

As our nation takes time to reflect today on the terrorist attacks upon us thirteen years ago, we have been reminded this week that the attacks upon our American principles and her history do not just happen through the efforts of small groups on passenger jets. We were attacked physically on September 11, 2001 resulting in the loss of thousands of lives, but our founding principles, our basic beliefs are also under attack by those who are attempting to rewrite our nation’s history in an effort to create a God-less America.
