Action Alert – Act Quickly to Keep Gambling out of Your Backyard!

The end of October saw the biggest gambling expansion in Pennsylvania signed into law. The expansion makes Pennsylvania the Nevada of the east and will only create more problems down the road! We now have online gambling, gambling at airports, video gaming terminals at truck stops, mini casinos , etc. etc. However, the law does allow local municipalities to opt out of allowing mini-casinos and certain counties can opt out VGTs in truck stops. But they only have until the end of the year to pass resolutions and get them to Harrisburg!

Action Alert – Stop Taxpayer Funding of Sex Change Operations for Children

HB 1388 is the bill to reauthorize the Children’s Health Insurance Program or CHIP. In the Senate an amendment was added that would prohibit the use of tax dollars for so-called sex reassignment surgeries for children in the program. The bill passed in the senate by a vote of 37-13 and it is now in the House. LGBT activists are pressuring House leadership to remove the amendment from the final bill.

Action Alert – US Government Wants to Track You Throughout Life

Under the guise of fighting poverty, bills have been introduced that would lead to tracking students throughout their life. Specifically HR 4174 would implement recommendations from a commission created last year which would remove the prohibition on lifelong tracking of students through college and the workforce.
