US Supreme Court Chooses to Save Babies in the Womb
(Harrisburg) — In a split decision, the United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) refused to block the Texas heartbeat bill, which prohibits abortions after a baby’s heartbeat can be detected. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocacy organization, applauds the decision in protecting babies in the womb. Unfortunately, the country once again saw “conservative” Chief Justice John Roberts side with the liberal justices in their dissent.
“Those who support abortion will cry ‘foul’ and demand that it’s a ‘woman’s right to choose what she does with her own body,’ but it is not her body which is ripped apart limb by limb through abortion; it’s the body of a separate unique individual called a baby. We applaud the five Supreme Court Justices who chose life rather than political correctness,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
Chief Justice John Roberts’ credentials as a conservative are becoming more and more questionable as too many times we see him side with the liberals on the court. Courts across the country have come to depend upon legal precedents rather than what the Constitution actually says . . . and nowhere in the Constitution is the word ‘abortion’ found! The Founding Fathers never intended for abortion to be protected under the Constitution and today’s judges and attorneys should not try to rewrite our Constitution.
