Say NO to the World Health Organization
Details
During the COVID-19 pandemic, President Trump removed the US from the World Health Organization or WHO (a United Nations agency). However, President Biden has different ideas and on January 18, 2022 secretly proposed a series of amendments to WHO’s International Health Regulations, which would give the organization authority to control global health care policies! The Biden Administration is willing to cede US sovereignty, but the proposed amendments would also cede the sovereignty of the other 193 members states to WHO! If these amendments are approved, the WHO would impact the health policy of 99.94% of the world population.
If approved the WHO would have the power to not only declare an epidemic or pandemic, but the response to it i.e. approved timetables to action, lockdowns, mask wearing, treatment protocols (remember the issues we’ve already had during the COVID pandemic), what and how many vaccines will be mandated (that debate continues in the US even now as the CDC seems to be issuing new guidelines weekly), Vaccine Passports, punishment for noncompliance, etc.
Additionally, an individual doctor who did not follow the WHO’s protocol could be dragged into international court, along with the United States, for not following WHO’s directives. If the doctor is found guilty of not following the WHO’s “rules”, the doctor as well as the United States could have massive fines levied against them. During the COVID pandemic we have seen medical freedom squelched, think of that on a worldwide scale. That is what these amendments would do. NOTE: The WHO, like the United Nations, cannot be sued.
Action Steps
The content of the proposed amendments was not made public until April 12, 2022, six weeks prior to the vote. The World Health Assembly, the governing body of the WHO, will meet this week to consider the Biden Administration’s proposed amendments – Provisional Agenda Item 16.2. Do you believe empowering the WHO’s Director-General, based upon his or her personal opinion, to declare a health emergency or crisis in any nation, whether the nation opposes or disputes such a designation, is a bad idea? Don’t forget a “public health crisis” could include a rise in crime rates, gun violence, climate change or mental health issues. Such a threat to US sovereignty must be stopped by Congress. The WHO should never be given such power over the United States.
