FTC Taking Comments re “Gender Affirming Care”
Details
On the first day of his new administration President Trump signed an executive order titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government”. Since then his administration has been working to implement that order.
One of the angles the administration is taking is through the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). We have to acknowledge there is a transgender medical industry pushing the “transitioning” of minors. It’s big bucks from the puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, surgeries and continued life-long meds to help keep the lie going that this individual has actually changed gender. All a lie and as the medical industry walks away richer, the patient who has sought relief through medical intervention many times is worse off and even greater depressed. The FTC want to know what’s really going on!
On July 8 the FTC hosted a workshop in Washington, DC examining the dangers of so-called gender-affirming care. During that workshop parents, doctors, and detransitioners testified of the harms and false claims being made by those pushing this radical agenda. Additionally, it was announced the Department of Justice has issued nearly 20 subpoenas against clinics that are engaged in transgender transition attempts, noting that the DOJ’s investigations include healthcare fraud, false statements, and more.
Action Steps:
The Federal Trade Commission is currently accepting comments from the public on whether children have been harmed by so-called “gender-affirming care,” whether doctors failed to explain the risks, and whether doctors made “false or unsubstantiated claims about the benefits or effectiveness” of transgender procedures.
