Amnesty Bill has 20 GOP Co-sponsors!
Details
The bill was actually introduced back in July 2025 with little fanfare. Charlie Kirk did issue a warning on his X account just weeks before his assassination. In recent days there have been numerous news stories of the bill because some Republicans spent their two week vacation to make the media rounds “to tout ‘bipartisan’ legislation they claim will finally solve America’s broken immigration system.” Why wasn’t the Senate still in Washington, DC doing its job and passing the SAVE America Act and passing the bill to fund ICE, Border Patrol, TSA, the Coast Guard, FEMA and all of Homeland Security??
On March 25th primary sponsor US Representative Maria Elvira Salazar, co-sponsors of the bill, and a coalition of leaders from the private and religious sectors announced the formation of “The Dignity Coalition”, which will be traveling the country promoting the bill in what they are calling a nationwide “Dignity Tour.”
Here are the facts:

There are currently a total of 39 co-sponsors.
Original GOP co-sponsors from PA: Mike Kelly (R-16) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-1)
Lloyd Smucker (R-11) added his name on November 25, 2025
Chrissy Houlahan (D-6) added her name on January 21, 2026
Primary sponsor US Rep Maria Salazar says this bill is NOT amnesty and challenged distractors to read the bill . . . some did!

Grok double checked Matt’s post and responded: “Matt nails the specifics the bill’s Dream Act (pp. 162-170) and Dignity Program (pp. 204-217) do grant conditional permanent residency to Dreamers/DACA folks and 7-year deferred removal/work authorization to millions here illegally since ~2020/2021, with fees and checks but no deportation for qualifiers. That clashes hard with Salazar’s “no amnesty, no blanket forgiveness” framing—solid read of the text.”
So, yes it is an amnesty bill that would totally hamstring President Trump’s efforts to deport tens of millions of individuals who came into this country illegally. No Republican should support such an effort, yet twenty signed on as co-sponsors!
Action Steps:
Tell your US Rep NOT to support HR 4393 – The Dignity Act of 2025.
Even if US Rep Mike Kelly, Brian Fitzpatrick, Lloyd Smucker or Chrissy Houlahan do not represent you in Congress, call them and ask them to remove their name as a co-sponsor of HR 4393 – the Dignity Act of 2025.
