Pennsylvania Will be Represented!

Details

Several Democrat-run states, including Pennsylvania,  have announced they will not be participating in the Great American State Fair, giving varying excuses.

Governor Shapiro said no one was interested.  Here’s the official line from the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED):  “Unfortunately, due to the high cost to taxpayers and not being able to secure PA businesses to sponsor the booth, Pennsylvania will not be a participant in the Great American State Fair.”

Governor Shapiro responded, “It reflects this sad state of affairs that we find ourselves in — that the president has politicized this to a degree that businesses don’t want to participate.”

Note: I haven’t seen where the celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday has become political.  It could just be that Democrats have a problem with America!

Apparently, Governor Shapiro’s folks didn’t talk to the right people!  As soon as Senator John Fetterman and Senator Dave McCormick heard the news,  they hit the phones!  A news release from Senator McCormick said, “The effort is being made possible entirely through private partnerships and will not use any taxpayer dollars.”    Most Pennsylvania businesses answered the call. So far, Quarter Pine Tree Farm, Asher’s Chocolate, Crayola, the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance, Core Natural Resources, Quandel Construction, Schlouch Construction, Utz, Orvis Hill Country, GNC, MSA, The Safety Company, Vitro Glass, the Marcellus Shale Coalition, the Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank, and Camp Susque are all donating displays, manpower, carpentry expertise, or donations.  Volunteer firefighters from across the state offered to staff the booth.

Hersey declined to participate!  Remember that next time you buy candy.   Note:  The Hershey Company has a Human Rights Policy which adheres to the UN’s many human rights policies which include sexual orientation and gender identity language!
