Hersheypark ‘s Decision Makes It Unsafe for Women and Children
(Harrisburg) — Hersheypark will now allow men in women’s restrooms and vice versa. According to responses to those who have emailed concerns, this is simply a continuation of an existing policy! So . . . HersheyPark has allowed men in the women’s restrooms since its inception by Milton S. Hershey in 1906. That is highly doubtful, the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocacy group, notes and is calling on HersheyPark to not allow biological men to use the women’s restroom and vice versa.
The park has responded to concerned citizens that “we welcome guests to use the family restrooms available in Hersheypark” and “this is the same family-friendly Hersheypark. ”
Hersheypark spokeswoman Kathy Burrows said in a statement last Friday, “”Additionally, the park has and will always strive to accommodate all guests and employees – including members of the LGBT community – to ensure those visiting or working at Hersheypark are comfortable and feel secure. . . . Guests and employees may continue to use the restrooms with which they gender-identify, or are welcome to use the many family restrooms available across the destination.”
“Milton Hershey is rolling over in his grave at the idea that the park he founded as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company is now allowing men in the women’s restroom. It is insulting to force biological women and girls to share the bathroom facilities with biological men, no matter who they think they are!! Additionally, this public announcement by HersheyPark is an open invitation for sexual predators to take advantage of this policy,” remarked Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
Most media outlets ignore the real stories of sexual predators who have entered women’s facilities in order to gain access to women and girls. Here are a few examples:
Seattle, WA — a man undressing in women’s locker room causes a stir; Dallas, TX — “transgender woman” uses Parkland Hospital women’s restroom – turns out he’s a sex offender!
Toronto, Canada — a biological male claiming to be a transgender woman gained access to a women’s shelter in order to assault women; Oak Grove, OR — a sexual predator has been known to dress as a female to gain access to undressed minor females by frequenting restrooms, dressing rooms, changing rooms, aquatic centers and pool locker rooms.
