Abortion in the PA Constitution
Details
The State House vote on second consideration for HB 1957 was 102 to 101. Another vote in the State House will take place soon. Then on to the State Senate, where hopefully it would die.
Here’s how it played out:
HB 1957 passed on Second Consideration by a vote of 102 to 101
All Democrats voted ‘yea’ except:
Frank Burns HD 72 – Cambria County (part) — Call him to say ‘thank you for your vote on HB 1957’ — (814) 536-8400
Anita Kulik HD 45 – Allegheny County (part) – Call her to say ‘thank you for your vote on HB 1957’ – (412) 264-4260
All GOP voted ‘nay’ except:
Joe Hogan HD 142 – Bucks County – Call him to ask WHY — (215) 752-6750
Kathleen Tomlinson HD 18 – Bucks County – Call her to ask WHY – (215) 750-1017
Remember this is a constitutional amendment. If it passes this session, the same language would have to pass next legislative session and then presented to the people.
Action Steps:
Contact your State Rep and tell him or her to vote ‘nay’ on HB 1957. PA should be protecting defenseless unborn babies and not make killing them a ‘constitutional right’!
