Ask Your State Senator to Vote “No” In Confirming This Transgender Activist

Details

Remember the transgender “woman” that Governor Wolf nominated to be PA’s Physician General?  This from a January 18, 2015 Philadelphia Magazine article describing that nominee:  ” currently a professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where she also serves as chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Eating Disorders, a program she created on her own. She has also worked actively with the school’s Office of Diversity, mentoring LGBT students, faculty and staff, and she sits on the board of Equality PA.”  Even though it is quite evident this individual is a LGBT activist, the former Richard Levine (now known as Rachel Levine) was confirmed unanimously by the State Senate in June 2015!

In addition to the Physician General role, he is currently the Acting Secretary of Health and now Governor Wolf seeks to make that permanent.  That requires confirmation hearings and another Senate confirmation vote . .  . so just what will the Senate do this round?

This is the same Senate that just last week voted to approve Senator Don White’s amendment which prohibited reimbursement for so-called sex reassignment surgery for children in the Children Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

What will they do with a nominee that still, according to the PA Department of Health bio on Levine,  teaches on “transgender medicine” ?  This would of course include so-called “sex reassignment” surgery!  In July, just days after President Trump tweeted out that transgenders would be banned from serving in the military, Levine wrote an opt ed piece for the Philadelphia Inquirer, ” Using the excuse that cost of care is the reason for this discrimination is worse than damaging. It’s mean-spirited and bigoted.”  It is apparent that Levine would support tax-payer funded “sex reassignment” surgery — the very thing the State Senate voted against last week!

Action Steps

How ironic that according to the PA Department of Health website this is their mission:  The Department’s mission is to promote healthy lifestyles, prevent injury and disease, and to assure the safe delivery of quality health care for all Commonwealth citizens.   (Emphasis added)

Encourage your State Senator to vote “No” on the confirmation of Dr. “Rachel” Levine for PA Secretary of Health.
