The Fight Continues – Ask Your State Senator to Oppose Trans Awareness Week
Details
On October 16 a memo for a “Resolution Designating “Transgender Day of Remembrance” and “Transgender Awareness Week” in Pennsylvania” was circulated by Democrat Senators Lindsey Williams, Amanda Cappelletti, Timothy Kearney and Katie Muth. It was introduced as SR 367 and yesterday was referred to the Senate Rules and Executive Nominations Committee.
The transgender issue played a role in this year’s presidential election, as President-Elect Trump consistently brought up “No men in women’s sports” during his rallies. He has since said he will ban so-called “gender affirming care” for minors.
Action Steps
SR 367 is a resolution that is designed to push the idea that some individuals are born in the wrong body. Violence against anyone is wrong, but why highlight the violence against one group over another except to seek to normalize that group’s lifestyle choices?
