Democrats are Trying Every Angle to Redefine Sex

Details

On October 26th HR 2119, the Family Violence and Prevention Services Improvement Act, passed in the US House by a vote of 228 to 200.  Nine GOP voted ‘yea’ including Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1), who was also a co-sponsor.  It was sent to the US Senate on October 27th.  It sounds like a good bill,  but . . . .

Summary of bill as found on congress.gov:  “This bill modifies, expands, and reauthorizes through FY2026 the Family Violence and Prevention Services program, which funds emergency shelters and supports related assistance for victims of domestic violence.”

However, under Section 7 of the bill the Democrats have inserted “including sexual orientation and gender identity”  after the phrase “on the ground of sex.”

But they go beyond simply including that change in this bill and apply it to other existing legislation:  Programs and activities funded in whole or in part with funds made available under this title are considered to be programs and activities receiving Federal financial assistance for the purpose of applying the prohibitions against discrimination under. . .Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (prohibits sex discrimination in any school program that receives federal funding), . . . and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (which covers all entities that receive federal funds).  This will give the LGBTQ agenda a toehold in not only education, but all entities that receive federal funding!

Additionally, the Democrats have replaced language that would protect women’s shelters from men who think they are women and thus providing more safety for women and replaced it with language that would require the women’s shelter or other such entity to prove separation by sex is an “essential operation of a program.”
