Tell the Senate to Give Brett Kavanaugh an Up or Down Vote
Details
The process laid out in the US Constitution for the ‘advice and consent’ responsibilities of the US Senate when it comes to those nominated by the President has been distorted, twisted and used as a political football. In the last couple weeks, the Democrats in desperation have “discovered” a couple women who are accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct thirty plus years ago in his high school and college days. No one has been able to corroborate any of the stories, but the Democrats are calling for a delay in the vote on his nomination.
Whether you think Judge Brett Kavanaugh is the right man for the job or not, no one should be forced to endure what he and his family has been put through the past two weeks. His hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee were bad enough, but this is so much worse!

In America we are assumed innocent until proven guilty, but apparently not in this case. Anyone with a father, husband, son, brother or uncle should take note of this dangerous move towards assuming the accused is guilty as charged when it comes to sexual assault allegations!
Action Steps
- Pray for Judge Kavanaugh and his family as this process continues.
- Pray for the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, that they will not rush to judgement, but listen to both sides. GOP members are being pressured to vote against Kavanaugh. On Monday, Senator Ted Cruz and his wife Heidi were forced out of a restaurant by an anti-Kavanaugh mob.
- Senator Mitch McConnell says there will be an up or down vote on Brett Kavanaugh. Encourage him to keep his promise. Call his office at (202) 224-2541 or use the contact form here
- Senate Judiciary Committee Majority Chair Chuck Grassley says the plan to hear testimony from the first accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, and Judge Kavanaugh is still planned for tomorrow, with a planned committee vote on Friday. Encourage Senator Grassley to end this charade and follow through with those plans. Call his office at 202-224-3744 or use the contact form here
