Hershey’s Ad Should Not Come as a Surprise

Details

It seems to many that Hershey’s International Women’s Day ad out of Canada is shocking.  In reality, it is following a path that Hershey embarked on years ago.  Hershey has been LGBTQ-friendly for a good while.   Here are a couple examples:

— allow men who think they are women to use the women’s restroom at Hershey Park

—  in 2022 received a score of 100 (the same score since at least 2014) in the Corporate Equality Index of the nation’s largest homosexual lobby group, the Human Rights Campaign

For this year’s Hershey’s She bars recognizing International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Hershey partnered with Girls on the Run for a second time to “build upon their shared mission of uplifting women to recognize their limitless potential”. Sounds good, but Girls on the Run also includes sexual orientation and gender identity in their diversity statement!

How does allowing a man who thinks he’s a woman uplift women??

Yes, we should boycott Hershey.  Yes, we should let Hershey know the reason why we will no longer buy their products, nor visit their attractions.  The overall question is:  Will Christians take those steps?
