Representative Grove Says There Will Be NO Audit of Past Elections . . .
Details
On Thursday Representative Seth Grove, chairman of the House State Government Committee tweeted:
“On November 19, 2020 the Pa House of Representatives authorized an audit of the 2020 General Election through the General Assembly’s audit arm, the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LBFC) through HR 1100. The LBFC rejected taking up the audit on a party line vote.
The PA House of Representatives will not be authorizing any further audits on any previous election. We are focused on fixing our broken election law to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”
So . . . he says no audit of the November 2020 election. I believe most Pennsylvanians want an audit of that election!
Meanwhile over in the State Senate, Senator David Argall, chairman of the Senate State Government Committee, supports an audit of the November 2020 election. Additionally, two members of that committee, Senator Doug Mastriano and Senator Cris Dush, went to Maricopa County, Arizona to tour the forensic audit there. They both came back impressed with the forensic analysis of the ballots during the audit process. Mastriano and Dush both support an audit.
Governor Wolf’s response to all this: “What they’re calling for isn’t an ‘audit.’ It’s a taxpayer-funded disinformation campaign and a disgrace to democracy. Pennsylvania had a free and secure election. That’s a fact. Pennsylvanians deserve better from their elected officials.”
Not surprising that the majority of Democrats are all on the same page as Wolf! Makes you wonder . . . .
