AFA of PA ACTION ALERT

June 10, 2010

Issues  (check corresponding number in ‘Details’ and ‘Action’ Sections)

1.)    Effort to Overturn Ban on Blood Donations by Men Who Have Sex With Men

2.)    Senate Fails to Block EPA Reg

Details

1.)  Efforts have begun anew to get the ban lifted that prevents men who have sex with men from donating blood.  Homosexual activists and some politicians are willing to place the safety of America’s blood in jeopardy to further legitimize this dangerous lifestyle.  Click here for the current FDA blood donor policy.

Additionally, could this be considered a prerequisite before open homosexuals are allowed in the military?

2.)Today the US Senate failed to pass a resolution condemning EPA regulations that the Obama administration is trying to put in place under the Clean Air Act.  These are to regulate carbon dioxide which has been deemed a dangerous pollutant.

Action Steps

1.)  Today and tomorrow a debate will be raging in Washington, DC in an attempt to remove the ban on homosexual men donating blood.  To express your concern, contact Jerry A. Holmberg, Ph.D., Executive Secretary, Advisory Committee on Blood Safety and Availability, Office of Public Health and Science, Department of Health and Human Services at (240) 453-8803, FAX (240) 453-8456, or e-mail ACBSA@hhs.gov

2.)  Both Senator Arlen Specter and Senator Bob Casey, Jr. voted ‘no’ on SJ Res 26, a ‘resolution of disapproval,’ forbidding EPA from placing CO2 restrictions on the country.  The EPA regs are a stealth move to advance cap and trade without legislative approval.  Contact Senators Specter and Casey to let them know your thoughts on their vote.
