Action Alert – Kim Davis’ Updated Address
Rowan County Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis is being held without bail three counties west of her home county at the Carter County Detention Center. Her husband Joe says she will not compromise or capitulate while in jail.

Rowan County, Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis spent last night in jail. She was arrested yesterday for contempt of court and taken away by federal marshals because she would not issue marriage licenses bearing her name to same-sex couples. She has been ordered to remain in jail until she agrees to do such or until the Kentucky legislature votes to impeach her .

In 2005 75% of Kentucky voters chose to place the definition of marriage as only between one man and one woman in that state’s constitution. That definition remains today, as well as the requirement for a man and a woman on the marriage license itself. Rowen County Clerk Kim Davis has chosen to follow Kentucky law and now she sits in jail by order of a judge holding her in contempt of court.
