As Mat Staver with Liberty Counsel said, “This is the most divisive and culturally destructive issue to face America since the Supreme Court’s abortion decision in Roe v. Wade. The difference between the Supreme Court’s 1973 abortion decision and this one is the coercive nature of it. As horrific as Roe v. Wade is, that Supreme Court decision did not force people to participate in abortion. A decision that says same-sex marriage is a constitutional right will result in coercion against religious freedom and conscience rights. “

AFA of PA President Diane Gramley will join other pro-family leaders from across the nation at the steps of the US Supreme Court in Washington, DC at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27th. This is the day before the Court hears oral arguments on the marriage case pending before them.

Action Alert – Philadelphia Attacks Religious Freedom

On April 9th Mayor Michael Nutter and each Philadelphia City Council member signed onto “An Open Letter to Those Affected by Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) Laws.” It touts the city’s “inclusiveness” and invites those who feel discriminated against in the twenty states that have RFRA laws to relocate to Philadelphia. Yesterday the AFA of PA faxed a letter to Mayor Nutter and each of the City Council members expressing disbelief that such a letter would originate from that city.

Yesterday the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide group advocating for religious freedom, faxed a letter to Mayor Nutter and each of the City Council members expressing disbelief that such a letter would come from the city where the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were signed.
