The issuance of President Obama’s most recent executive order adding the words “sexual orientation and gender identity” to two previous executive orders — 11246, signed by President Lyndon Johnson on September 24, 1965 and 11478 signed by President Nixon on August 8, 1969 shows his continued bowing to pressure from homosexual activists and his inability to distinguish between changeable and unchangeable characteristics i.e. race/ethnicity are unchangeable while homosexuality is changeable.

News Release – “Pro-Life” Bob Casey Votes Against Religious Freedom

The cloture vote on S2578 was defeated in the Senate by a vote of 56-43. It was introduced by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) in response to the US Supreme Court ruling in the Hobby Lobby case which found that the contraception mandate of Obamacare violated the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide religious freedom organization, is concerned that Senator Robert Casey, Jr. not only signed on as a co-sponsor yesterday, but voted for taking away religious freedom today.

Action Alert – Ask Senators to Oppose Attack on Religious Freedom

Democrats and homosexual activists are outraged the US Supreme Court sided with religious freedom in the Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Woods Specialties case. The outrage has extended to homosexual groups removing their support for the Employment Non-discrimination Act (ENDA) because it contains a religious exemption. Additionally, Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper asked that her name be removed from a letter she had signed asking President Obama to include a religious exemption in his anticipated executive order dealing with federal contractors and the hiring of homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders.

Erie County Alert: Dahlkemper Apologizes for Supporting Religious Freedom

Last week Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper signed a letter to President Obama asking that he include religious exemptions in his anticipated executive order pertaining to employees who identify as homosexual. Due to the increased fallout from the US Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision and with homosexual groups announcing their removal of support for the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), Dahlkemper has changed her mind and no longer supports religious freedom for those organizations that may contract with the federal government.

News Release: Erie County’s Dahlkemper Wrong

Last week Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper supported religious organizations who contract with the federal government from being forced to hire homosexuals and transgenders. In light of the US Supreme Court decision upholding Hobby Lobby’s religious freedom, she has joined the many others who have now changed sides on the issue and wants her name removed from a letter sent last week to President Obama. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide religious freedom group, has emailed Ms. Dahlkemper expressing their disappointment in her decision.
