News Release: AFA of PA Calls for Removal of BSA Board Members

Today the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) contacted the national office of the Boy Scouts of America calling for the removal of two members of the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson and Ernst & Young CEO James Turley are not acting in the best interest of Scouting nor the boys they serve by pressuring the Scouts to change their policy concerning homosexual leaders and members.

Action Alert: Will Boy Scouts Give In To Bullying

Under increased pressure from homosexual activists and their allies, the Boy Scouts of America are reconsidering their current ban on homosexual leaders and members. In July last year the Scouts reaffirmed the ban. An 11-member special committee, formed discreetly by top Scout leaders in 2010, “came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts.” Now today’s announcement that they will reconsider the ban!

News Release: Obama, Kids and “Gun Violence”

Today, surrounded by children who had written letters to him following the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, President Obama announced his strategy to protect children from such attacks in the future. He said, it’s all about the children — “This is our first task as a society, keeping our children safe. . . . (It is) our responsibility to care for them and shield them from harm and give them the tools they need to grow up . . . .” The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide pro-family group, agrees with President Obama that adults should care for and shield children from harm as well as give them the tools they need as they grow to adulthood; however, the AFA of PA questions the President’s sincerity.

Action Alert: Right to Bear Arms Protection Act

Since the tragic shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, there has been increased talk of more laws to restrict our Second Amendment right to bear arms. This has come mostly on the federal level, although today New York Governor Cuomo introduced legislation in that state that will make it the most comprehensive in the nation affecting everything except “rifles and shotguns used by traditional sportsmen and hunters.”

The attacks on traditional marriage continue. Homosexual activists are unrelenting in their march towards “marriage equality.” Meaning they will not be satisfied until same-sex “marriage” has been legalized across the country. However 32 states have already taken the extra step to protect marriage by passing Marriage Protection Amendments (MPA). Unfortunately, Pennsylvania is not one of them.
