The State House is finally being called back into session after the 200 returning and new members took their oath of office on January 3. At that time the Republicans held a 101 to 99 majority – something the Democrats never recognized as they stalled for the February 7th special elections in the Pittsburgh area to occur. That election has occurred and the Democrats do now hold a 102 to 101 majority. We are going to take a look at what happened after the representatives took their oath of office on January 3rd, how the GOP elected a Democrat to be the Speaker of the House, the fiasco that followed and how a few are speaking out against the whole mess.
