Action Alert: Update on SB 732

The delay in House action on SB 732 has been to attempt to make some reasonable accommodation of the State Senate’s position on the bill. House Floor Leader Mike Turzai said the House was attempting to make such an accommodation to avoid delaying SB 732 even further. Because when passed in the House and sent to the Senate they could amend SB 732 and thereby send it to a conference committee with even more delays than what have been occurring.

News Release: Will Whitemarsh Township Make the Tough Decision and Say ‘No’?

Today the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) emailed and faxed the Board of Supervisors concerning the public hearing about the so-called ‘anti-discrimination’ ordinance that was held tonight. The question is do the Township Supervisors have enough courage to honestly answer the questions and take a close look at the evidence presented outlining the dangers of passing the ordinance which will give special protections to homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders simply because of the sexual activity in which they engage and who they think they are.

News Release: City of York Should Disband Human Relations Commission

Mayor Kim Bracey of the City of York has announced an 11 percent tax increase, additional fees and the elimination of three currently vacant firefighter positions in the 2012 budget. The City Council has said they will spend the next few weeks pruning the mayor’s budget. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) encourages them to start by following the lead of Lancaster County and eliminate the city’s Human Relations Commission (HRC).
