PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane Does Not Represent the Majority of Pennsylvanians When Asking Supreme Court to Legalize “Gay Marriage” Nationwide
(Harrisburg) — Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Kathleen Kane has expanded her activism in promoting the legalization of same-sex marriage. She has joined other liberal attorneys general in signing an amicus brief asking the United States Supreme Court to legalize so-called same-sex marriage nationwide. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for natural marriage, has contacted Attorney General Kane’s office expressing outrage over her misguided efforts in pushing the legalization of counterfeit marriage.
“Kathleen Kane has once again proven she is no friend to true marriage, neither does she represent the majority of Pennsylvanians in asking the Supreme Court to legalize so-called same-sex marriage throughout the nation. She is wrong . . . period,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
According to a 2012 Gallup Poll, 2.7 percent of Pennsylvanians identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). That percentage places Pennsylvania among the ten states with the least number who identifies as LGBT and that is the group to which Kane is catering.
These activists who are posing as states’ attorneys general are hoping the Supreme Court will step in and make a sweeping decision to legalize same-sex “marriage.” In most cases, such as in Pennsylvania, these same attorneys general are guilty of dereliction of duty in not defending their states’ marriage laws.
“These attorneys general have allowed the judicial system to dismantle marriage as it has been throughout history, while they stand silently by hiding behind the “equality” mantra and negatively impacting the lives of tens of thousands of children. Again: Attorney General Kathleen Kane you do not represent the majority of Pennsylvanians and we ask that you remove your name from this hateful amicus brief,” Gramley concluded.
