AFA of PA Statement on President Trump’s Announcement Concerning Transgenders in the Military
(Harrisburg) — Today in a Tweet President Trump announced that a ban would be placed on transgenders serving in the military. The reaction from homosexual activists was swift with OutServe threatening to sue saying it was an overreach and the President doesn’t have the authority to make such a decision. On the other hand the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide traditional values group, commended the President’s decision to stop the attacks on the underpinning of our military might.
“The decision by the previous administration to allow transgenders to not only serve, but be recruited by the military would have undermined the readiness and unit cohesion of the finest fighting force on the planet. Our military personnel should be concerned about fighting ISIS and other enemies of the United States and her allies and not be used as guinea pigs in another social experiment. ‘Pregnant men’ do not exist, yet time was taken away from normal military training to teach our military how to deal with such! That was outrageous and we applaud President Trump’s announcement to end such lunacy,” noted Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
A study commissioned by the Pentagon pegged the annual cost of taxpayer funded “sex reassignment” surgery for military personnel at $8.4 million. The same study admitted that many who undergo the surgery will be permanently unfit for duty or, at a minimum, require extensive time to recover. Money earmarked for the military should be used for equipment, training or taking care of our injured military personnel, not body mutilation of someone who is confused about their gender and believes the lie that he or she can become the opposite sex.
