The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has announced that organizations is ready to take the next step to be more “inclusive.” They are now ready to allow girls who simply think they are boys into their ranks — the politically correct term for these confused individuals is “transgender boys.” Let’s be perfectly honest here: except in extremely rare cases there is never any doubt whether a newborn baby is a boy or a girl. This is not something a doctor “assigns” at birth as the proponents of the “transgender” ideology (or more correctly idiocy) are proclaiming. Just a look slightly below the baby’s umbilical cord will tell you whether you have a boy or a girl. There’s not a big question mark down there!
In 2013, the BSA started to allow boys who identified as homosexual to join its scouting programs. In 2015, it permitted openly homosexual and bisexual adults to become leaders. Now it’s January 30th announcement says, ” we will accept and register youth in the Cub and Boy Scout programs based on the gender identity indicated on the application.”
Last month a spokesman for the BSA told the Baptist Press that churches and religious organizations that partner with the Boy Scouts will still be allowed to make decisions based on their religious beliefs. According to Catholic News Service, faith-based groups run about 70 percent of Boy Scout troops.
So, the big question is: What will it take for churches to drop the Boy Scouts of America? The National Organization for Women (NOW) is now pressuring the BSA to allow girls — that is girls who still think they are girls and not the confused New Jersey girl who thinks she’s a he and wants to be a Boy Scout. If they follow the two year pattern that they started in 2013, perhaps in 2019 the BSA will also bow to the demands of NOW!
But, back to the question of when will churches drop the Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts of America still says their Mission “is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Churches need to look beyond those words to the actions of the Boy Scout organization. Are they teaching their members to make ethical and moral choices or to be morally straight as the Scout Oath says? How can they when the leadership of the Boy Scouts does not have enough courage to make the ethical and moral choices to stand against the homosexual and transgender activists who have sought to remake the Boy Scouts in their effort to normalize their lifestyle choices.
But wait, you say – we’re not allowing homosexuals and “transgender boys” in our troop. Does the troop you are allowing to meet in your church or you are sponsoring pay annual dues to the national Boy Scouts? By associating your church with the Boy Scouts, you are supporting the national office that is transforming the Boy Scouts into an “all-inclusive” organization. As asked previously, what will be the next pressure group to which they will succumb?
If even half of the 70 percent of faith-based groups dropped the Boy Scouts, perhaps they would get the message that they are going down the wrong path. It’s not like there is not another organization that would provide boys with a great outdoor experience. When the Boy Scouts caved to homosexual activists in 2013, a new organization stepped out to offer boys a Christian-based outdoor adventure program even as the Boy Scouts once did. Trail Life USA was started by former Boy Scout leaders who could no longer be a part of that once-great organization. From their Core Values: ” Trail Life USA (TLUSA) is a Christian Outdoor adventure program that emphasizes and teaches biblical moral values and requires all adult members to agree with, sign, and abide by the Trail Life USA Trinitarian Statement of Faith and the Statement of Values. The program is unapologetically Christian. However, the program is designed and intended to be presented without being “churchy” or “religious,” focusing on outdoor adventure, character, and leadership development. ”
Christians you have a choice to make – present young boys and young men a clear Biblical teaching on sexuality and lifestyle choices or continue sending out an ambiguous message through a continued association with the Boy Scouts of America!
