Tell Chick-fil-A Thank You!
Last week Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy made the “mistake” of saying he believes marriage should only be between one man and one woman and warned of God’s judgment on America:
“I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.”
Homosexuals activists and their allies have been attacking the fast food chain ever since! At least two mayors — Boston and Chicago — have said Chick-fil-A is not welcome in their cities. Surprisingly even liberal newspapers like the Boston Globe and Los Angeles Time have condemned such actions by the mayors.
Last Friday the Jim Henson Company announced it was ending its business deal with Chick-fil-A in providing toys for their kids meals. So . . . no more Kermit the Frog or Miss Piggy in those kids’ meal deals!
Former Governor Mike Huckabee is calling for a Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on August 1st saying, “Let’s affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick-fil-A on Wednesday, August 1.”
As a counter move homosexual activists have announced a National Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil As around the country on August 3rd.
1.) Thank Chick-fil-A and Dan Cathy for taking a stand for marriage. You can email them using the form here. You can also call them at 404-765-8000 (You will reach a receptionist, who will put you on hold to talk to a Chick-fil-A representative. The wait to tell them thanks is worth it!)
2.) Eat at a Chick-fil-A on August 1st to show you appreciation for their stand. Feel free to do it more often too! Dan Cathy has dared take a politically incorrect stand in today’s world and the attacks will continue. A Restaurant Locator is here. Simply hit the drop down menu beside “Select State,” then click on Pennsylvania to find one of the 59 locations in PA.
3.) Learn more about Truett Cathy, Dan’s father, who founded the business by clicking here. He fully understands, “He didn’t build his business, he had help.” But it wasn’t the help of government handouts, but his reliance on God.
