Boy Scouts Reconsidering Ban on Homosexual Leaders and Members

Details

Under increased pressure from homosexual activists and their allies, the Boy Scouts of America are reconsidering their current ban on homosexual leaders and members.  In July last year the Scouts reaffirmed the ban.  An 11-member special committee, formed discreetly by top Scout leaders in 2010, “came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts.”  Now today’s announcement that they will reconsider the ban!

The pressure has mounted not only from outside the Scouts with homosexual activist Zach Wahls pressuring UPS, Intel and Merck to withhold grants from the BSA,  but also from within the organization.  Several local chapters and national board members corporate CEO Randall Stephenson of AT&T and James Turley of the Ernst & Young accounting firm are asking for reconsideration.

It appears the Scouts are about to repeal the national ban on homosexual leaders and members and leave it up to the 290 local governing councils and the 116,000 sponsoring religious and civic groups. The vote of the National Board comes next week.

If the Boy Scouts give in to the bullying by homosexual activists, this will be only the first step in remaking the Scouts into something we will not recognize in a few years.

Action Steps

Contact the national office of the Boy Scouts of America and ask them to keep the ban in place.  There is already a molestation problem within the Scouts even with the ban; it will only get worse if the ban is lifted.

Call the national office of the Scouts at 972-580-2000 AND email them using this contact form.   Message:  The safety of the boys in their charge will be greatly compromised if the ban on homosexual leaders and members is lifted.  The mission of the Boy Scouts of America will be undermined as the BSA is “to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.” The Scout Oath will be thrown aside as the “morally straight” component is replaced with moral relativism.
