Senate Bill 27 has to do with the exchange of information between child protective services (CPS) and medical practitioners during an investigation by CPS for abuse or neglect. It would eliminate the traditional physician-patient privilege by which physicians are required to keep medical information confidential.It would also entitle medical practitioners to obtain information about investigations from CPS that have nothing to do with a child’s health.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) has thrown his support behind Rep. Jeff Denham’s (R-CA) attempt to add his “Encourage New Legalized Immigrants to Start Training” or ENLIST Act (H.R. 2377), a military-based DREAM Act, to the must pass National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This bill would let some young illegal immigrants join the military and be granted legal permanent residence, labeled as a green card, which is a key step on the pathway to citizenship.

Don’t forget the last day to register in order to vote in the May 20th Primary is this Monday, April 21st. Remember Pennsylvania has a closed primary, meaning only those registered as Republican or Democrat will be permitted to vote on May 20th.

Friday, April 11th has been declared the “Day of Silence” by the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and, according to them, it is a day set aside when “students from middle school to college take a vow of silence in an effort to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior by illustrating the silencing effect of bullying and harassment on LGBT students and those perceived to be LGBT.” However, as noted by the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), the ultimate goal is to normalize homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism.

Peter LaBarbera with Americans for Truth About Homosexuality has been invited to speak at the annual conference of the Saskatchewan Pro-life Association (SPLA) on Saturday. Upon his entry into Canada last night, he was immediately detained and possibly prevented from entering the country, on the grounds he could be violating Canada’s “Hate Propaganda” law.
