School’s been back in session for over a month now and in too many school districts parents rightfully have concerns about what their children are being exposed to. The public education apparatus is no longer something parents can fully trust as there are too many special interest groups that have infiltrated those institutions and, in some cases, the government has stepped in to ‘help’ students. Reading, writing and arithmetic – academics in general- seem to have been put on the back burner and the nation’s tests scores are proving that sad scenario! What can be done?
