Back in Full Swing After the Memorial Day Holiday

Details

Congress and the General Assembly will be back in full swing after their Memorial Day break.  In Washington, DC the US Senate will reconvene at 3:00 p.m. on June 1^st; the US House will reconvene at noon on June 2^nd.  There is much to be done in our nation’s capital. The Senate needs to pass the SAVE America Act.  Congress needs to make the DOGE cuts permanent, eliminate the unconstitutional US Department of Education, pass the bill to end birthright citizenship, eliminate the Johnson Amendment (S1205 and HR 2501), make the Hyde Amendment permanent (HR 7 and S 186), stop the sexualization of children through the use of taxpayer education money (H.R. 7661) name just a few bills that need to be addressed!!

In Harrisburg the State Senate will reconvene on June 1^st at 1:00 p.m.; the State House will reconvene on June 1^st at noon.  The General Assembly needs to pass a reasonable budget,  verification in order to access porn sites (HB 1513), parental consent in order to participate in school clubs (HB 248), parental rights in education (HB 581), school choice (SB 969), exempting non-public schools from government mandates (HR 869), protecting students 1^st Amendment Rights (HB 2338), removing obscene material from school libraries (HB 236), regulating massage parlor to prevent human trafficking (HB 663), end sanctuary  cities in PA (HB 403).  There were a lot of good co-sponsorship memos that were circulated, but never given a bill number!  With the Democrats in control of the State House, it would take a miracle to get the good education bills passed – just look what they have done to the Save Women’s Sports Act that passed in the State Senate!!

Action Steps:

BUT we do serve a God of miracles!!  Pray for our elected officials on both the federal and state levels as they return to their respective capitals.
