1.) Dismemberment Bill Passes in the House
2.) Contact Legislators TODAY
Details
1.) HB 1948, the bill to ban abortions after twenty weeks and to ban dismemberment abortions, passed in the State House by a vote of 132 to 65, just shy of the 136 needed for a veto-proof majority. Governor Wolf has promised to veto it, but members of the House did their part in telling Wolf Pennsylvanians want to stop ripping unborn babies apart limb from limb! Republicans Sheryl Delozier, Frank Farry, Warren Kampf, Harry Lewis, Duane Milne, Bernie O’Neill, Scott Petri, Chris Ross, and Todd Stephens voted against it!! Now will the State Senate take up the cause? Click here to see how your legislator voted.
2.) Homosexual activists are in the State Capitol today lobbying for passage of the Bathroom/Shower Bills — SB 974, SB 1306 and SB 1307 — as well as encouraging legislators to vote for the discharge petition to try to force HB 1510 out of the House State Government Committee. Remember SB 974 has been split into different bills, one being SB 1307 which is in the Senate Urban Affairs and Housing Committee chaired by Senator Scott Wagner, a big proponent of the bills! This committee will meet at 2:30 today and SB 1307 is on the calendar to be considered.
