Voting Record for Your US Rep and US Senators Now Available
Details
Seems like there’s always an election going on in Pennsylvania! This November is a critical election for the US House and US Senate. Democrats are geared up to take back both houses of Congress and well-funded liberal groups are targeting several states, including Pennsylvania, to make sure “progressive” candidates are elected.
However, before the mid-term elections in November there will be the May 15th primary election. Five US Representatives from PA are not seeking re-election: Pat Meehan (R-7) has announced he will not seek re-election amid sexual misconduct allegations; Charles Dent (R-15), Bill Shuster (R-9) and Robert Brady (D-1) have announced their retirements; Lou Barletta (R-11)is running for Senator Bob Casey’s seat. Additionally US Representative Tim Murphy (R-18) stepped down in October and his seat will be filled during a special election on March 13th between State Rep Rick Saccone (R) and political newcomer Conor Lamb (D).
To create even more turmoil the Democrat-dominated PA Supreme Court has declared the 2011 congressional map unconstitutional and if the legislature doesn’t come up with a newly redrawn map that Governor Wolf likes, the judges are likely to redraw the map! Not sure where they found that authority in our PA Constitution!!
