National Defense Authorization Act Includes Abortion Money
Details
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is renewed each year. The effort tends to be politicized because there’s always an attempt to attach amendments that advance certain agendas. This year’s bill is 3,000 pages long. Back in July the US House passed several provisions including those to stop using taxpayer dollars to pay for the travel of military personnel and/or their family members to obtain an abortion and ‘gender transition’ surgeries. Well, the US Senate didn’t’ like those provisions and stripped them out as the bill was negotiated behind closed doors!
The current version of the NDAA would fund abortion travel for service members and their families, gender “transition surgeries”, drag queen shows on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, race-based admissions at military academies, “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) propaganda and more. Additionally, the current NDAA extends the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) without warrant requirements, which would allow ‘backdoor’ searches of Americans. The goal of the NDAA should be to fund the advancement of military readiness and unit cohesion. These provisions do not advance those goals!
