Protect Women’s Sports Act to be Voted on in Committee
Details
HB 972 — the Protect Women’s Sports Act — is scheduled to be voted on in the House Education Committee tomorrow!
As the bill’s co-sponsorship memo notes: “Title IX was designed to stop discrimination and create equal athletic opportunities for women. However, allowing biological males to compete in girls’ sports reverses nearly 50 years of advancement for women.
There are “‘[i]nherent differences’ between men and women,” and these differences “remain cause for celebration, but not for denigration of the members of either sex or for artificial constraints on an individual’s opportunity.” United States v. Virginia, 518 U.S. 515, 533 (1996). These “inherent differences” range from hormonal differences to physiological differences.”
However, too many on the Left refuse to acknowledge the differences between male and female and, in the process, are destroying women’s sports — just look at the NCAA Division 1 swimming champion, a biological male who identifies as a female.
Action Steps
Contact members of the House Education Committee
and ask them to vote ‘yea’ on HB 972 the Protect Women’s Sports Act. If you only have time to make one call and your state rep is on this committee, make sure to call him or her!
