Bill Preventing Abortions of Down Syndrome Babies Passes Committee
Details
Along a party-line vote of 10-5, HB 2050 passed in the Senate Judiciary Committee today . Click here to see the roll call.
This bill already passed the State House by a vote of 139 to 56 on April 16, 2018, click here to see how your State Rep voted on the bill.
Passage in the Senate Judiciary Committee means it just needs a final passage in the State Senate before it reaches Governor Wolf’s desk. Yes, the former Planned Parenthood escort will probably veto the bill, BUT the legislature needs to send him a message that we want to protect babies in the womb who are diagnosed with Down Syndrome. The bill passed in the House with a veto-proof majority, we can pray the same thing happens in the Senate, then Wolf’s anticipated veto can be overturned.
