Last Day to Register to Vote Fast Approaching

Details

The primary is May 15, but the last day to register or change parties is this coming Monday, April 16th!   Remember Pennsylvania has a closed primary, meaning only Republicans and Democrats can vote.   Do you know someone who is not registered to vote and wants to vote in the upcoming primary?  They only have until Monday to act!

As we said in our March letter:  “With the 2018 midterms right around the corner, control of Congress – and perhaps the future of the Trump presidency – is at stake. Once again, Christians could play a pivotal role … if they show up.  In the 2016 elections, just under 60 percent of those eligible to vote for the next president actually did. Jason Yates of MyFaithVotes, who did the math using voting models and recent research, predicts turnout for the midterms will be down considerably from the record 139 million 16 months ago.  That’s where we come in!  There is no doubt that the US has swayed way off course from what the Founders intended, but part of that is because Christians are not as involved as they should be.  Yes, politics can honestly be described as dirty, but if Christians aren’t involved what is to be expected??  Voting is one of the best ways to be involved, but perhaps a run for political office is something the Lord might have in mind for you!

There is no such thing as an “off-year” election!   Primaries are just as, or more, important than the general election!  The primaries weed out the multiple candidates in your party for each race and determine who’s on the November ballot.   So, you will get a say in who will appear on the general election ballot.”

Will you be willing to do your part?
